The Department actively participates in International and All-Ukrainian scientific conferences. The instructors of the Department publish their scientific articles in the collections, which cover modern methods and means of training of students and athletes to improve their sports mastery.

 The founders of research work at the Department of Physical Education are L.Dursenev, DSci (Pedagogy), and V.Babushkin, DSci (Pedagogy), Professor. Nowadays, the scientific group of the Department is headed by the Head of the Department, M.Kurylko, Associate Professor. The scientific group of the Department pays high attention to the development of research on the budget subject: "Planning of preparation and analysis of performances of the expansion teams of KhNAHU in the Spartakiads of higher education institutions of Kharkiv". Student scientific conferences are held annually by the Department. The general scientific work of the instructors of the Department with the students is reflected in the participation of students in national and international Olympiads and competitions.
