The administration, trade-union committees, deans’ offices of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University pay great attention to further promotion of sports as well as training athletes, namely, providing them with individual attendance plans and scholarships.
For students who have outstanding sports achievements, there are more than 24 sports sections on the basis of the Department of Physical Education and Sports within the University, which are aimed for maintaining the level of their sportsmanship, as well as its improvement and providing an opportunity to combine the work-out session with educational process. Students who attend the classes in these sports sections defend the honor of the University at interuniversity, national, as well as international competitions and they regularly win prizes.
The Department of Physical Education and Sports employs 3 Honored Coaches of Ukraine, 2 Judges of International Class, 3 Judges of the National Category. During the recent period, highly-qualified coaches of the Department have trained 2 Honored Masters of Sports, 12 Masters of Sports of International Class and more than 60 Masters of Sports of Ukraine.
The unique sports base of KhNAHU, which is constantly being modernized and expanded, allows us to provide students with a wide variety of sports sections.
Tsygankova Kateryna, a graduate of the automotive faculty, a master of sports of Ukraine in taekwondo WTF, a bronze medalist of the Universiade of Ukraine, a gold medalist of the club Championship of Ukraine, a winner and prize-winner of the championships and cups of Ukraine.
Hryshyn Vladislav, a graduate of the Academy of Martial Arts, a Master of Sports of Ukraine in MMA, a two-time Ukrainian champion in MMA, a Ukrainian and European champion in horting, a world champion in Cossack duel, and a multiple champion of professional MMA tournaments.
Dmytro Oliynyk, a graduate of the Federal State Technical University, an international master of sports (MSMK) in acrobatic rock and roll, 2nd place in the World Cup (Slovenia), 3rd place in the World Championship (Switzerland), 1st place in the final stage of the World Cup (Budapest), 2nd place in the World Cup (Poland), 3rd place in the World Cup (Budapest) in 2022, 1st place in the European Championship (Poland), 3rd place in the World Cup (France) in 2021, 2nd place in the World Championship (Poland).
Кaravaeva Angelina, a graduate of the FCS, a master of sports in Taekwon-do, multiple champion of Ukraine in Taekwon-do (among adults), champion of Ukraine in kickboxing (among adults), silver medalist of the kickboxing tournament in Italy (light contact - 60), champion of the European Cup in Taekwon-do (among adults), bronze medalist of the European Cup in Taekwon-do (formal exercises 1 dan), champion of the Mazovia Master Cup tournament in Taekwon-do (sparring, adult women - 60), bronze medalist of the World and European Championships (among adults), bronze medalist of the Taekwon-do World Cup (among adults), two-time silver medalist of tournaments in the Netherlands (among adults), member of the Ukrainian national team in Taekwon-do;
Medvetska Darya is a graduate of the Faculty of Transport Systems, an international-class master of sports of Ukraine, a world and European champion, a champion of the Universiade of Ukraine, a champion and prize-winner of the championships of Ukraine and international tournaments in beach and freestyle wrestling.
Funkendorf Vladislav, graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Master of Sports of Ukraine in taekwondo (WTF), 2nd dan, European champion, silver medalist of the World Gymnasiade, bronze medalist of the World Martial Arts Games, bronze medalist of the European Club Championship, champion and medalist of the Universiade, Ukrainian championships, three-time bronze medalist of international rating competitions.
Pyatnytsia Dmytro, a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the KhNADU, multiple prize-winner of the Ukrainian championships in kettlebell sports, 2-time world champion among juniors.
